Cooking Classes in NYC
Before your cooking classes with Chef Donna
You know that it's time to get cooking. So
you sign up for a class at a culinary school you know of. Once there,
there are so many people vieing for the chef's attention, you can't
get your questions answered and you leave feeling it was a waste
of time and money, you have no idea what to do with the information
you received. So, now you're in your kitchen frantically going through
the refrigerator and freezer trying to figure out what to prepare
for dinner. There's plenty of food, but you have no idea what to
do with it in the short time you have. Dinner's running late, someone
will be home soon, someone will be hungry soon, or you have a date
to meet for drinks in an hour. What do you do? Call for delivery?
Pop a frozen pizza in the oven? Go to the nearest drive-thru??
After your cooking classes with Chef Donna
You're in your kitchen getting ready to prepare
dinner. You're running late, but that's ok, you know exactly how
to get dinner on the table in 20 minutes, you had you're own private,
one on one, in home cooking classes with Chef Donna. She lead you
through a few easy recipes and showed you some techniques and short
cuts. So, now you have music playing and you're swaying to a great
drum beat. You have your knife in your hand, your ingredients laid
out on the counter. You pick up a shallot and cut it into a small
dice like a pro, pick up the carrot and celery, same thing. Get
oil in the skillet over medium heat until it's hot and add your
chicken, listening for the sizzle, that "TTZZZZZ" sound that lets
you know your oil is at the perfect temperature. No stress here
as you brown your chicken checking to see if it needs to be flipped.
Once your chicken is done you remove it from the skillet and add
the shallot and carrot and saute to just right. Add a bit of white
wine and chicken stock, maybe a squeeze of lemon and a handful of
capers and then season with a pinch of salt and pepper, and it's
done. Whether your a beginner or a seasoned cook this is possible.
This is cooking, this is easy, this is how it should be!
